You may ask: "What is 'branding'?"  A brand is the identity of a specific product, service or business.   A brand can take many forms, including a name, sign, symbol, color combination or slogan.  Branding is the act of defining, designing and producing the brand in all its forms.


For use in businesses it is the application of marketing techniques to a specific product, product line or service.   This can include retail, non-profit, religious, and many other types of businesses.  Products or services may include physical items, new ideas or messages.  In this line of branding one would be working with logos, business cards, letterhead and press kits.



For use in our personal lives it can include marketing ourselves and announcing our events and celebrations.  In this line of branding one would be working with items such as resumes, invitations, announcements and surveys.
